[January 21st 2005]

Alloa-based company GreenPower have announced that they have submitted the planning application for Broadmeadows Wind Farm (up to 13 turbine, up to 36MW capacity) near Yarrowford, in the Scottish Borders, and will exhibit final proposals on 31st Jan -1st February.

Presenting their final plans as submitted to the Scottish Borders Council, GreenPower will be inviting local people who are interested in Broadmeadows to come to Yarrowford and Galashiels and talk with GreenPower staff. GreenPower Director John Morgan said that GreenPower were still keen to get across information about the project to the public. “We had an excellent response from the public in our pre-application exhibitions, and now that we've submitted we're still keen to engage in dialogue with local people. Dialogue up to and beyond the moment a planning decision is made and these exhibitions are an excellent way of getting across our project and the philosophy behind it”.

GreenPower will be at Yarrowford Village Hall on Jan 31st , 11.00am - 8.00pm and the Volunteer Hall at Galashiels on Feb 1st , 11.00 - 8.00pm.
