GreenPower Submits Section 36 Application for Carraig Gheal Wind Farm

GreenPower, on the 8th December 2004, submitted a Section 36 Application to the Scottish Executive to develop Carraig Gheal Wind Farm.

The project, as submitted, will consist of 24 wind turbines, each with a capacity of up to 3MW, with a maximum peak output of 72MW.

The wind farm is projected to offset up to 213,000 tonnes of CO2 per year during its operation, and supply electricity equivalent to the annual demand of 47,000 average UK homes.
