GreenPower
GreenPower is an independent Scottish company, developing renewable energy projects. We are currently developing a portfolio of wind and hydro power projects which range in size from single turbines providing local power to multi-megawatt grid connected wind farms.
The Scottish Executive has set a target for 18% of our electricity from renewables by 2010 and an aspiration to reach 40% by 2020. GreenPower was established in 2000 by leading professionals already working within the UK renewables industry, with the aim of making a significant contribution to those targets.
In the development and operation of our renewable energy projects, GreenPower is committed to sustainable business practices, including enhancing the environment in which we operate and contributing positively to the welfare of local communities.
